Yes, i do realize that it has been 7 months since my last post.... i guess i just lost interest for a minute... but I'm back now and ready to go!

Lets see where to start!! Well Kingston Turned 1! Can you believe it? no? I know, me either... He is such a big boy and doing so many great things! He is crawling up on anything he can, he tries to get to the tallest point in the room. Only problem is he can't get back down. So its been quite the adventure trying to keep an eye on him! He is also trying to talk, right now he says "ma ma" "da da" "pa pa" "ka ka" "kitty" and "nana". He is such a joy and I can't imagine my life with out him! Other big news, I met this really great guy back in November.... Jeremy. He is pretty wonderful, such an amazing person with great values, morals, and goals. I Love him :) He has 3 daughters Jaidyn 8, Maicee 3, and Mylee 3. M&M are fraternal twins. When i first met them i instantly loved them! they are honestly the most wonderful little children. I have since moved in with Jer and now we are a family of 6! I went from having one child to having 4, and i have loved every second of it! Kingston gets along so great with the girls and he absolutely adores Jeremy! Anyway, I think that's all the major stuff... we've been busy with little vacations and holidays... Ill post pics and more about those later!

The speed of light!

My son is growing too fast. WAY TOO FAST! He has been doing things i didn't think that babies his age did.... anyway I'll start from the beginning!

He started the army crawl when he was 7 mo and used that and rolling to get where ever he needed to... I thought he was fast then!! He also started to eat table foods... like mashed potatoes and other soft things.

About 8 months he got down the hands and knees crawl and seriously took off!! I had no clue how fast a 21lbs 29 inch human could be!! Also he started to pull himself up on the furniture, he would just stand there until he got board or his legs got tired then he would just tip over!! Lol, so cute!

Then about 9 mo he started cruising around the furniture, and everything had to go up 6 more inches! Seriously, if it is in his reach you can bet that he will have it in his mouth in 3 seconds flat! He gets really gutsy and tries to let go of one chair to get to another, and does a sort of superman dive that almost always ends in tears and a bump!!

Also this month he loves to go places that he knows he isn't supposed to, like the bathroom for instance. A few days ago he decide to take a tour of the bathroom and found some really fun cords hanging off the counter! I am so adamant about turning off my straightener and curling iron, but that morning i was running late for work and forgot to. He pulled my straightener down and it landed on his hand and he now has a huge blister on the back of his hand!! SO SAD!! I seriously wanted to die when i heard what happened!! I know that it wasn't any body's fault but i still feel awful! When your children get hurt it is the very worst feeling a parent can have. Your only job in life is to protect them, and when you can't (which i know happens sometimes) it is terrible! Anyway, he is getting better now, and when we went to the doctor he didn't even cry! What a trooper!

There is really so much more going on, but its very small things that could take up 200 pages to write it all down :) It gets mushy from this point on... but feel free!!!

Kingston is such a curious and inquisitive little boy, he is always looking for something to entertain himself. There could be an entire mountain of toys and he would still go for the remote or the cell phone! I love this boy more than i ever thought one human could love another! He is my world in its entirety!! He makes me a better person than I ever thought i could be! I love you Kingston Vince!

No way!! this is not possible!! how can 6 months already have gone by? I guess it has though, and i will just have to live with it!! I really am enjoying watching Kingston grow, it seems like he learns something new every day! i can't believe how absorbent his little mind is!!

*His stats this month*:

18.4 Lbs (he went down a little but i guess this is normal)

26 1/2 inches long

44cm head circumference

*Things he is doing this month*:

~ He sits up all by himself and loves to play with his toys.

~ His favorite toy is the little blue vibrating doggy.

~ He Likes to lay on the floor and watch cartoons, his favorite so far Elmo and dinosaur train.

~He absolutely LOVES to look in the mirror at himself... he could do it for hours!!

~ He will hold his own bottle for a few minutes until he gets board of holding it, then he plays with it!

~ He gets where ever he needs to go by rolling over and over to get there!! its very affective!!

~ when he wakes up in the morning he lets me know he is up by babbling and cooing and yelling until i get the picture!!

~ when he lays on his back his favorite thing to do is pull his toes in his mouth and suck on them!

I love this boy more and more every second of every day! I really can't believe my heart can get any bigger, but it just keeps growing!! I'm sad to know i don't have a tiny little newborn baby anymore, but i am so excited to see him grow through the next 6 months!

Elk Camp 2010

Kingston and I got to go up to the hummingbird this last weekend. The Hummingbird is the name of the elk camp that we go to every year. While all the guys were out hunting and most of the girls stayed back to hang out. Kingston absolutely loved being outside so much!! It was like he was watching a tennis match his head whipped around so much, just trying take everything in. It was a little cold at night but we stayed in the trailer with my mom and dad, which wasn't so great in the morning when someone would wrap on the door at 4 am trying to get my dad up to go hunt. But other than our early start every morning Kingston did really good, he didn't cry at all!! He is such a good boy!! Anyway, here are some pics of the trip, there are a ton more but blogger takes too long to upload!!

5 Months

Has it been 5 months already? No-way!! Kingston is getting so so big!! i can't believe it! at his 4 mo apt the doctor said "wow, he is a big boy!" so if he says it, it must be true! what Kingston is doing this month:

~He started eating solids last month and Bananas are his favorite, but he sure does love those peas!!

~After every bite he shoves his fingers and fist in his mouth! I am sure this is to frustrate me and make the biggest mess possible!

~He rolls from his front to back and back again (this is his method of transportation)

~He loves it when you blow raspberries at him. he laughs and laughs (not an actual raspberry, but when you motorboat your lips together. Those are called raspberries right?LOL)

~His Uncle Triston is seriously one of his favorite people.

~He loves it when his mommy sings "you are my sunshine"

~He is a pro at bouncing in his Jumperoo!!

~he will not fall asleep in his crib by himself!!

Kingston's Blessing!

Kingston's blessing was May 2nd 2010 at the Spanish Fork 8th ward. It turned out so wonderful!! after we went down to the Veterans memorial building and ate lunch. I must say i am mighty proud of myself for putting together such a successful party!! It was small, just close family and friends!! I wish i could have invited everyone i know!! Ha! I love my son so much and i know his dad love him also. We are so lucky to have the most perfect little boy and to have him be blessed in such a wonderful gospel. I love this church and am having too many blessings to count. I have come to realize that even our trials should be counted as blessings, because of the lessons we learn from them. Each trial tests us, and we grow stronger and each blessing reminds us of how great we really have it. I love Kingston and I am so grateful for Dallas (most days) :)

Kingston is getting big so fast, and life is kinda crazy right now!! My heart is bigger than i ever thought possible! He is 2 months now and he rolls from his belly to his back. He also smiles so big at me sometimes and it quite literally melts my heart!! He is in every thought i have go through my head, i can't imagine what i would be doing without him!! I am hopefully getting a job here soon, that will be really great! Just an update! Have fun!

After Kingston came home from the hospital i came up to Indianola to to stay with my parents for the week. My mom took the week off from work so she could help, and what a help she has been!! A few nights ago she helped me give Kingston his first bath!! Yippee!! I loved it, He hated it!! Oh well, what do ya do! You gotta bathe your kids right! Here are some pics of the cute little bugger!

Kingston Vince Nelson made his big debut the last week!! February 25th at 12:00 a.m. right on the dot!! He weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces, and was 20 perfect little inches long!! I went in Wednesday night at 11 p.m. to get a prostin gel (gel they put on your cervix to soften it) to try to induce me, then they sent me home for six hours. I had to go back to the hospital one more time to get another prostin gel placed. So at 5:30 a.m. Dallas and I headed on over to the hospital once more secretly hoping they would just keep me there, but they didn't they sent me home again. ^ hours later we headed back to the hospital to get induced. They checked me in and we waited!! finally at 5 p.m. my water broke on its own. All of a sudden I felt like i was peeing my pants!!! "Dallas, I'm peeing!!" I told him, "well stop" he says back to me.... like i wasn't trying to stop! and then WHAM.... worlds worst contraction hit! (or at least that's what it felt like!) so i stuck it out for another 2 hours and got my epidural.... after that it was a cake walk! I was finally dilated to 10cm at 10 p.m. and started pushing!! Hardest thing EVA! I pushed for an hour and a half and every time i pushed the babies heart rate would drop.... so the doctor told me i would need to head in for a C-Section :( I was really sad about this at first but then I manned up and realized its what had to be done. so they sent me into the operating room at 11:30 and Kingston was here 1/2 an hour later. He was so beautiful and perfect! I can't believe that i had a part in creating something so absolutely amazing! I am 100% in love with him!

So today i had my 38 week apt. and it was ...hmmmmm.... interesting! I got a lot of news, my blood pressure has been kind of on the high side these last few weeks and my feet are the size of balloons (I'm retaining water) so the doc sent me over for some lab work. He says that if it comes back abnormal then he will Induce me on Wed. (the 24th) AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! This is very scary/exciting news for me..... for the last 3 or 4 weeks i have been telling everyone how "ready" i am to have this baby! but when it comes right down to it.... what woman is really "ready" to have a baby? That's right, NOT ONE! Its OK though, I'll get over it and do what i gotta do and i am seriously excited to meet my little dude!! The other thing... to all those moms out there who told me getting "checked" wasn't painful...... (this is me sticking my tongue out at you) i almost kicked my doctor in the face, that hurt so bad!! He called it cervical stretching............YOWZA!!! He told me it was just a small glimpse.... hmmm great! It wasn't bad though, as soon as he was done "feeling" my babies head then the pain went away... but for those 15 seconds i couldn't even think straight!! The good news is i am dilated to a 1 1/2 and 70% effaced!! Its small progress, but progress none the less!! But that's enough of by moaning and groaning..... I am so excited to get to be a mommy, and start this new adventure!! Its just a very terrified excited!! thanks for reading!

names, names, names!!!

It has been so stressful trying to find names for my little dude!! I have always been very excited to discuss names ever since i was a little girl, I loved the thought of giving a little baby a cute name!! That is until i got pregnant!! now that it is something that i actually have to do i am very nervous!! What a huge responsibility, giving another human a name!! He will be stuck with it for the rest of his life!! what if he hates it? what if kids tease him? what if people can't pronounce it? what if its hard for him to spell? what if its hard for him to say? these thoughts have been like a train in my mind for the last 5 or 6 months!! not to mention middle names!! I want it to be meaningful and sound good... but what to choose, what to choose? Anytime someone in my family brings it up i just say "i am not going to talk about it right now!!" I want to choose a name so badly, i feel like it will make it more real for me to call him "____" rather than just baby. So i pray every night that Heavenly father will whisper the most perfect name in my ear and i will just know..... Well that wasn't the case! Dallas and I have had names picked out since we were dating, and as soon as i got pregnant they all went out the window!! We had on boy name picked out and i just loved it, but i didn't like the way it sounded with Nelson. any way, it has been stuck in the back of my mind for ever... but i kept refusing to think about it!! well last night i prayed again to know the name of my son... and that night i had a dream and Dallas and i were calling him by this name... so i just can't refuse it any longer. I have decided to name him Kingston! i am so excited about it! it feels like a huge weight has been lifted to finally know his name!!

We had our 20 weeks ultra sound on the 19th, and found out we are having a boy!! yay!! No on to trying to find names that Dallas and I both agree on.....(BOO) :) any suggestions?I think I'll dress him up as a skeleton for Halloween.......

In May I missed my period and i was SURE i was pregnant.... so sure that even after about 10-15 negative pregnancy tests i was still sure!! when i finally went to a doctor they told me i wasn't that i must just be stressed out from moving to Chicago... So i took a hint... i was a little upset, but i got over it. When i missed my period again in June i didn't even think about pregnancy, i just figured i was still stressed out. The second week in July i started to throw up all the time, and gag when i smelled something nasty (or something not nasty at all) Everyone told me that i should just take a test but i really didn't think i was pregnant!! So i finally broke down and took one and it was instantly positive!! I was in shock, i sat on the edge of my aunts bath tub for a while staring at the two lines on my stick, waiting for one of them to disappear! When it didn't i went and showed my aunt!! It was a really great day!!! Dallas was so happy, he didn't really know what to say except "congratulations!!!" HA! it was funny!!

I am now almost 19 weeks along and am due March 8th. I am 99% positive that it is a boy! We find out next week for sure!! The pregnancy so far has been great.. other than the first week of throwing up every day i have felt pretty good (lets be honest its still a pregnancy, so how good can i really feel!) But compared to some horror stories i have heard.... I think i am fortunant!! I will keep you posted on everything that is going on..... Here are some pics of my little peanut!! it looks like a human now, and less like an alien!! YAY!

We have one more week out here in Chicago, and it feels so strange to me!! I feel like I haven't had a summer at all!! Now school is starting for everyone.... weird! I can't wait to get back and see everyone, and hang out with my family and friends. I miss everyone so much!!

I just got back to Chicago from a 3 week vacation back to Utah! it was so nice to see everyone!! I got to go camping with some friends and play at the lake it was a blast!! We went to Lagoon aslo, that was very fun!! Lagoon has just been getting so old these last few years, but it was truly fun this year. We hit up Lagoona beach this time, maybe thats why it was fun, i haven't done that for about 5 years!!! But i'm back in Chi-Town and loving it!! Although, its really cold here!!! WEIRD, but its better than dying heat!! Anyway, i will post pics when i can!!!

FINALLY!! finally the weather was good enough to go swimming! say it with me...AHHHHHHH! yesterday was so great! it was warm out side and the sun even made an appearance! I went down with some of the wives out here and played with the kids in the water then just layed out for another few hours and read!! It was so relaxing! You bet your buttons that as soon as Chicago figures out that its Chicago and not Seattle (because of the rain) That i will always be ...down by the pool! YAY! also i am such a reader now.... i have no TV and no computer ( this is the apartment complex business center computer) so all i can do is read!!

I am fully aware that i haven't posted pics in a really long time... i am working on it.

Any way, we got into Chicago about two weeks ago... and it is FABULOUS! i heart this place! We are actually in Westmont.... so if Chicago was salt lake then we would be in Sandy, or Draper... (I think) Our apartment could not be farther away from everyone and everything in the complex..... its is quite the journey to get to the Garbage dump, the Pool, the mail room, and anything else i have to get too.... but its OK i still like it. Our apt over looks this golf course and we have some really cool neighbors beneath us. We actually went down a few nights ago and BBQ'ed with them. It was fun. Dallas is dong really really great with his job. he has sold 5 so far... which people tell me that is really good for his first summer, this early. We wake at like 8 or 9 and eat breakfast and hang out for a while, then he leaves at like 11:15ish then he gets home at like 10ish and that happens Monday- Saturday..... so as you might have guessed... i am very board for like 11 hours during the day (hence the longest post of my life) So, my house is spotless..... which i love and hate.... I try and make big messes for dinner so i have something to do the next day...HA! well i found the library, and so i started to read the Harry Potter books.... why not right? well i started on the first one, like a week and a half ago and guess what number i am starting today...... 5! yes i am starting number 5 today! i am not saying this as an accomplishment..... i think its kind of sad! well... i am not gonna lie i am kinda proud, that i finished the first four in 10 days.... well.... that's all that is really going on... hmmm.... oh yeah, since i am such a hermit crab, and a Harry Potter lush, i decided to start an in-home daycare.... we'll see how it works out. I will let you know! Thanks for reading about my life! Dallas always tells me "post something on that dumb blog thing." he wants everyone to know how were doing, but he doesn't want me to know that he thinks blogging is cool..... oh i know! So we left this morning for Chicago.... hmmmmm..... I am blogging at our hotel in Nebraska right now... and let me just say this place is FLAT!!! anyway let me start from yesterday morning... We woke up with our apartment looking just as it always did ever since we moved in (MESSY), and we got it all packed in one day (me= STRESS CASE) its OK, I got over it!! then we went to sleep at my Bro and sis-in-law's house out in Eagle mtn. We played monopoly (like we always do) and then we went to bed*******NEXT DAY******** 5:00 a.m. up and at em', ready to go and really tired!!! we left at about 7:30 8 ish, and Dallas and i get to drive another one of the sales guys cars out. its really nice its just Me, him and Kobe. any way that's all i have right now! i will post some pics later!!! So we have been talking about this job opportunity that has presented itself to us for the last little while and we have just made the decision to go.... We are going to move to Chicago for the summer and Dal is going to sell security systems..... it is really going to be a great thing... hopefully we can get some debt paid off and start heading in the right path.... It is a little scary, but i think we can manage. We are going out there with Bryce and Jamie's' friends, Ben and Jen... and it is going to be a blast!!! any way i will keep you posted on the dates and stuff when we leave and come back..... love you all!

Seattle!

Well Dallas and i got invited to go to Portland/Seattle two weeks ago!! It was amazing! Bryce and Jamie had to go up there for business, and invited us to go with them!!! we Left on Wednesday the 4Th, and drove for 12 hours up to Portland. We stayed at the Red Lion Hotel. Then on Thursday we walked around and sight saw most of the stuff in Portland, after we were done there we went a visited Jamie's Aunt and Uncle in Beverton!! that was cool Jamie doesn't see them very often.... Also it was so cool because they have two birds and one of them dances apparently..... So they turned up Ne-Yo and jammed hard core!! it was so awesome because they aren't the youngest people, but that didn't stop them from turning up the stereo to 75!!!! ha! Any way, after that we made the 3 hour drive up to Seattle!!! Our Hotel was called the Edge Water........ why?? because it was literally on the edge of the water, well actually it was on a Pier!!! WAY COOL! Then we spent the next two days walking around the markets and fruit stands, and museums, just taking in the city!!! On Saturday night we decided to go up to the space needle and have dinner, well the elevator up to the restaurant is about 600 feet tall then when your up there you can see the entire city and Bay, because the restaurant rotates all they way around, as you are sitting there eating!!! It is so crazy! after dinner Dallas and i were too tired to walk back to our hotel so we took a cab!! FUN! the next day we needed to be up at 6 to make the 14 hour drive home...... well when we woke up at 6 (well really 5 because of daylight savings (boohoo)) it had snowed and rained the night before so here we are in our little Toyota Carola trying to climb a mountain when the snow vehicles are spreading dirt and not salt!!! well...........we didn't make it! so we turned around and drove on the shoulder back to the Sea-Tac Airport and flew home!! wow, what an expensive trip!!! not for us..... but hey Bryce and Jamie.... you guys wait until we get rich!!!!! Needless to say, we had an amazing time!!! I loved Seattle, and i would love to live there!!!! but probably won't!!! :)

Dallas, Bryce and I decide to take advantage of the very cheap fruit and bread!! Yummy!!

We went to "Sport" a sports bar and spent five hours watching the Jazz game and various other games! (Not mine and Jamie's idea)

Well we have been going through a rough patch lately..... nothing we can't handle... but still rough! Well we got to thinking, and we decided to Look into the Air Force for Dallas to go into.... it is a really really great opportunity and i think we are gonna take it!!! Hopefully! That's what were doin'............. livin the Great Life!!! HA! I wish that was the case! This week has been *excuse my french* SHITTY!!! From starting out at rock bottom to digging a hole under rock bottom and jumping in it then sinking a few feet...... A lot has happened these last few weeks that would make a person wanna just give up, but on the flip side... a few things have happened to make it possible to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! We just started a new job were i can work from home and Dallas can kind of work form home, if any of you wanna hear about it, i think i can help you out and get you a job too!!! Its really gonna be great once i can get all of the crap off us so we can start moving forward!!! anyway, i love you all... thanks for reading. Talk to you soon!!

Ok here it is!!! an update!!!

Currently,

Dallas is working as a brick mason part time and a tile/carpet installer the other part time. He doesn't totally love it but the people he works with are nice enough..... i should hope so, my Uncle Brian is his boss when it comes to brick laying! he is really hoping to get into sport journalism we are just working on getting into school and stuff.

I (Ashleigh) have just started a new job as a store manager at a carpet company. I am the receptionist/floor sales manager/personal assistant..... it sounds like a lot, but i am posting this at work right now..... so i'm not very busy!!! :) Anyway, i love it! it is really laid back and fun.

Kobe, our puppy isn't so much a puppy anymore!!! He has an appointment to go and get his shots and a hair cut done next week....

And thats most of our story for now. I have a few wedding pics i am going to post, but other than that we are pretty boring!!!

I am really trying to get all my wedding pictures figured out so i can post them. Sorry i am trying! any way, Married life is fabulous!! I Just Love Dallas, and he just loves me! we are doing great..........................its hard though! don't let me fool you!

We got a new puppy, Kobe Cuzz Rufus Nelson. :)

He is a miniature Schnauzer! and i am loving him TO DEATH! He is such a good dog and he only poos and pees in the house at Casie's, Jamie's, and my grandma's house.... never mine! HA! and that's only sometimes! he loves to play with other dogs, especially big ones! Piper and Fuzz are his best friends!

so just so you know, i so used to make fun of people who talk about there dogs like they are children...... but i do it now too. and if you have a dog you know what i am talking about, if you don't have a dog..... you can't laugh at me because you don't know!!!

So here is the story...

Dallas and i went to Hancock (not as good as it looks) and we see this really cool Dark knight advertisement... well if you know Dallas's sister Casie she loves batman and Christian Bale, so we decided to take it for her. So we get the MDX and get our nylons on our heads and head off. we get to Jordan Commons and pull the car in and there are two kids sitting there. "what are you guys doing" said one of them....."shut up were not going to kill anyone!" i yelled at him. any way Dallas is yelling at me to hold the doors open and he is holding this 9 foot batman poster. So to make a long story short we stole the thing and brought i back to Casie.... which she was very grateful for!!!! here are some pictures of our event!!!

Hi everyone!! Yep that's right Dallas asked me to be his WIFE!!!! YAY!! we were in the kitchen with Ray, (his dad) Lisa, (his mom) Casie, (his sister) Brad, ( brother-in-law) and Jaden, (his nephew). and i went down the stairs to go get something and Dallas and his other nephew Patrick were down there and he yelled at me to go back upstairs.... i was like "OK don't bite my head off" so 5 seconds later Patty wack comes upstairs and has a little sliver box... and he says "Ashy, this for you. it from "D". I just stood there then Dallas came up the stairs and got down on one knee and grabbed my right hand to put the ring on, "i think that's the wrong hand" i said and so he switched... He was shaking so bad i thought he was going to drop the ring!!! any way he said "Ashleigh, will you marry me?" and of course i said yes!!!! so now we are engaged..... wow! so you better write down August 16Th..... ;D

So i haven't written in a million years... that's gonna change!! well Dallas is in Phoenix right now, making the money. I hate it... but oh well i guess if it brings home the bacon i can deal! we went to Denver Colorado a few weeks ago and that was pretty fun except that i got sick!! Stupid mile high city!! Just kidding, it was really fun! but he comes home tomorrow and i am happy about that. I am loving my new job! i guess its not really my NEW job because i have worked there for a few months now, but all the same..... I LOVE IT! i think i will go to school and be a teacher!! well that's all for now..... bye-bye!

hi there! so we have just discovered how to blog. Yay us!! Well we are still living in Sandy in a house with 3 other room mates! who i love..... ;) Ashleigh is loving her job at the Winner School. She is a preschool teacher in the morning for 3 year olds, and in the afternoon for 6 year olds. Dallas is dong well with his lead generation, but is looking for another job with Geneva. well thats all for now... i will let you know when something new comes up!! 2 and Peace!
